Roald Dahl
(1916-1990) was a Welsh writer of Norwegian descent, famed for his children's books (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) and short stories. Six of his short stories were adapted into episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents. He was married to Oscar-winning actress Patricia Neal for thirty years. They had five children together.
