The Man From the South was the 168th episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents. It originally aired on January 3, 1960.
A strange man approaches a young couple at a bar, and offers the man an unusual wager: if the man can light his ciggarette lighter ten times in a row without missing, he will win a brand new convertable. If he loses, the stranger will chop off one of his fingers. Against his better judgment, the young man agrees.
