Daphne

Dame Daphne DuMaurier (1907 - 1989) was an English writer, closely associated with the Cornish coast. Three of her stories: Jamaica Inn, Rebecca, and The Birds were adapted by Alfred Hitchcock into some of his most succesful films.

DuMaurier was the first-cousin of the Llewelyn-Davies boys, who were the inspiration for J.M. Barrie's play "Peter Pan."
